Automarto spans the full marketplace loop — customers finding and buying parts, and sellers managing catalog, orders and performance — designed as one coherent product family across web and mobile.

THE PROBLEMCompatibility confusion

A huge automotive catalog with part-and-vehicle compatibility made search and purchase confusing. Friction from browse to checkout was hurting conversion — buyers couldn't be sure a part would fit their vehicle.

RESEARCH & INSIGHTSWhat shaped the direction

Research started with the buyer's core anxiety: will this part fit my vehicle? Interviews and journey mapping across buyer and seller sides showed the same catalog complexity hurting both — buyers unsure about compatibility, sellers buried in listing management.

Fit is the first question

Every purchase decision begins with compatibility. Answering it early removes the biggest reason carts get abandoned.

Filters mirror mental models

Buyers think brand → model → year → part. The IA had to follow that path, not the database schema.

Two sides, one system

Marketplace trust is built on both sides; a struggling seller experience eventually becomes a bad buyer experience.

DESIGN LANGUAGEThe visual system

A utilitarian-but-warm visual system: high-contrast product cards, generous tap targets, and a compatibility badge that travels with every part everywhere it appears. Buyer and seller surfaces share one design system, so the brand feels coherent from storefront to back office.

TESTING & ITERATIONPressure-testing the design

The checkout flow went through repeated prototype walkthroughs, each pass removing a step or a doubt: clearer totals, earlier delivery estimates, fewer form fields. Search and filtering were validated against real catalog data to make sure edge cases — universal parts, multi-vehicle fits — didn't break the model.
